Took my 2012 Fiat 500 Pop in with the check engine light on. I had run a diagnostic on the car so I knew what the issue should be, but also had some worries about my car sitting for the last 4 months (pandemic). They were accommodating to my worries, confirmed the check engine light issue, and were willing to check a few other things out for me by driving my car around to test. They were thorough, priced well, and made me feel very comfortable about the care they were giving my car. Hands down I will be going back if I ever need anything done. Import Auto has taken care of both my classic 2003 BMW 530i (manual) for years now, as well as my wife's aging Prius. Import Auto is tops in my book in every column on my scorecard -- expertise, price, and customer service. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Cons: online communication is lacking. They allow appointments to be schedule online but then don't respond to the requests. It took a few times trying to get one. They offer loaner cars on their website then they don't have them available. Made it known I'd like one and they never responded. Ended up having to wait there for hours. NO MASKS. Exactly zero employees were wearing masks, even when talking to people inside. There was no social distancing. Since your mask protects me, it felt like a blatant disregard for customer safety. And since I was stranded there, I felt my potential exposure was pretty high. Plus it's a California mandate that you wear masks right now. Pros: family owned, polite staff, free WiFi. While I can say I didn't feel ripped off and my car service seemed fine (minus the dirty rags left in my car), their blatant dismissal of health and safety in a pandemic left me feeling exposed. Which sucks because I want to support local business over a chain.
